Bobby West

After receiving his Master of Divinity, Bobby and his wife Helen served as missionaries in East Asia, teaching English to university students. Throughout his time of preparing for and serving in ministry, Bobby struggled with sexual addiction.

He began his recovery journey in 2010, and after returning to the U.S. from East Asia, became a registered nurse and has been working in health care for the past several years. It was during this time that Awaken became instrumental in Bobby’s recovery story.

In January 2022, Bobby joined Awaken’s staff to oversee all aspects of our ongoing recovery communities. Bobby and Helen have three sons. In his spare time he enjoys coaching soccer, traveling and spending time with his family
